I'm a geeky/artsy trans woman who lives in a very conservative area of MD. Trying to escape to DC on the weekends and meet more open-minded people to hang out with. I don't drink or smoke, so no worries about me showing up drunk or anything. I'm not against alcohol, it's just not for me. I really love coffee and tea, and going to cafes.

I know a little bit about a lot of things, but probably not an expert on many. I do aircraft electronics repair for a living, and enjoy trying to fix broken things. I love making pottery, although my life/schedule has kept me away from that lately. Was actually running an Etsy shop for a while there, and did pretty well. I've also been a part time coffee roaster, but I moved and haven't found another shop who needs a "hired gun".

Since I've been exploring DC, I could really use a few places to stay occasionally so I don't have to drive home as often. Getting to know DC locals would be a huge bonus, too. Half the reason I visit is to meet new people. Mostly looking for places to stay Friday/Saturday nights. Metro accessibility preferred but not required.

I've been through a lot of shit in my 42 years, I'm always game to swap stories, life experiences, and philosophical insights. Really, I just love to meet other people and hopefully broaden my viewpoint of life and the world.

I'm willing to help with whatever you need around the house. Since I have an electrical background, I can even do some basic electrician-type stuff. Also pretty tech savvy in general, and would be glad to help with computers, audio/video setups, or anything else like that.
