About Me
Hi!
I am a student from Burlington, Vermont (USA). (Ben and Jerry's is from my town! Ben and Jerry are both cool dudes.)
I am taking a year to travel and learn languages before heading to university at Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia.
I love art, writing, and music, and I try my best to do as much art and writing as I can while traveling around.
Recently I miraculously ended up with a mandolin, so I spend quite a bit of time trying to figure out this wild old instrument. While in Romania, I've been taking it on hikes and playing it at the top of mountains.
I have friends who seem to always be hungry, so I've recently gotten into cooking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couch surfing is the perfect way to learn about the life of a city, instead of the tourist routine in hostels. I'm hyped to find friends in new places.
Also, I'm trying my best to travel as long as I possibly can, and that means being frugal.

I love to bike, write, draw, learn languages, and talk politics.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Harry Potter, Cormac McCarthy, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Jack Kerouac, poetry, breakfast cereal, jazz, dumpster punk, and good films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove across the USA in one and a half days straight, without sleeping, and then hiked in the Grand Tetons. I was very tired, but it was so worth it; the views from the top of the mountain lakes were beautiful.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a casual piano teacher back home, and I also know how to make maple syrup. I know a lot of good books to read, and some nice recipes too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook, do dishes, tell/listen to stories, learn about the arts, hear some good jokes, and play music.
