ABOUT ME

I'm Brigette-Renee, one part of a family of five, this includes myself, my husband Lachlan, our three year old daughter Audrey, Lucy the Cat, and Asha the Dog.

We live in a unit in the suburbs of Brisbane, drinking lots of coffee, and snacking on lots of home baking. Orange cake features heavily.

We have a bit of happy chaos in our home, due to the shenanigans involved with a child and the animals, but there's always fun to be had.

My husband enjoys playing guitar, and is always happy to have a jam, musicians are most welcome!

Our home is located in a medium size housing complex, that has a communal pool/spa that you are welcome to use. We aso have bus stops across the road that go directly to the Brisbane CBD, local shopping center, and train station. We also have a smaller shopping center and cafes within walking distance that have supermarkets, post office, chemists/doctors and a few chain stores.

We have a three seater couch in the lounge room for singles, or we can also put a blow up mattress on the lounge floor for couples. If you prefer privacy, you're welcome to sleep in our daughters room instead (if lots of pink, and fairys don't bother you), and our daughter can sleep in our room with us.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have a little home, that can provide homecooking, music (from either the laptop, or Lachlan's guitar), many dance routines straight from the mind of a three year old, and some adorable pets.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and travelled few other CSers, What a trip! The mantra of 'be like Koala, think like Koala, but don't eat a Caromello Koala' will be stuck with me for life.

Everyone I have met so far have just been the most amazing people, and I've bult such strong friendships through surfing/hosting and meetups. CS just has a really nice atmosphere where you feel instantly at home wherever you are.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I've also developed quite a love of awful B-Grade movies, thanks to my father. The best so far has to have been Killer Bees, or The Ghost in a Teeny Bikini. Yes, actual movies.

I can get into pretty much any music as long as there is some soul put into it.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

A 'hike' through the Blue Mountains, while wearing thongs, to see the most beautiful sunset. It was freezing cold, but so worth it.

Attempting with a group of locals to break my fear of heights by jumping off a gorgeous waterfall in Indonesia. It didn't work, and numerous shots of Tequila were had after to 'calm me down'.
