Overview
About Me
I am a 21-year-old student from India. I grew up in the southern city of Hyderabad. I LOVE food. And I Love every aspect of it: eating, cooking, reading, writing, watching, day dreaming etc... I also enjoy sports. All of them, except for Curling (its not a sport). I am particularly good at Squash, okayish at Basketball and miserable at swimming.
"Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake" - Henry David Thoreau
I inadvertently follow this philosophy to the core. As in, I daydream a lot and it sure is nice. Mostly about travelling and studies. I derive the most pleasure out of travelling during the planning stage. I have concrete plans for what I would be doing in any place that I ever dream of going to: food walk in Lahore, late night skating in the streets of Tokyo, barbecue in the Australian outback, riding scooter taxis in Nigeria, staying in a soviet era apartment in Belarus and more...
I enjoy university. I love the setup: both, the people around and the studies. I plan on studying climate change and development issues, in the future.
Finally, to quote the great Michael Scott from the office, "I'm not superstitious, I'm just a little stitious"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
*I traveled to the last Indian villages on both the eastern and western borders in a span of 2 days. And while at the village on the eastern border, I was the guest of honor at a local wedding. The village is so tiny, that a wedding takes place only once every 2-3 years. So, I ended up being in the right place at the right time and it was quite an experience.
*I volunteered at a cute little animal farm in the Himalayas during my winter break in 2015 ( through CS). What makes this amazing is the fact that I'm terrified of animals, including dogs. So, it was a big deal for me to overcome that fear. While there, I helped build a cowshed and a doghouse.
*Got lost in the narrow alleys of old-town Amritsar thrice, in the same night. Still amazes me how I pulled it off.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I play Sqaush well enough to teach other people. I can teach how to make amazing Alaskan crab cakes. And math, maybe.
Learn:
Always wanted to learn bass guitar. I should also learn not to swim diagonally.
Share:
Random information about really interesting things. And stories about India that one wouldn't normally get to hear. Also, if I like you a lot, then my grandmum's recipes too.
