Über mich
I'm a freelance journalist, blogger and solo female traveller from India. I love to travel to offbeat destinations. I am also a big nature lover and love going on adventures - hiking, yoga, stargazing, birdwatching, scuba diving, rock climbing, freediving, waterfall chasing, cycling, snorkelling and just about anything in the great big outdoors is my jam.
I mostly travel backpacker style, on a budget so love to explore on foot, eat street food and use buses and trains for transportation. I also try to be a responsible traveller and mindful of my carbon footprint and that's why I love all things local: people, food, guest houses!
I am also always seeking unique and inspiring stories about nature, people and culture to bring out to the world. I have written for many travel publications like Nat Geo and Conde Nast. If you know of something cool happening near you that's worth talking about, I would love to experience it with you and hopefully write about it too :)
I'm always up for a good conversation too! I'm usually a "say yes" person and open to most spontaneous adventures!
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
To meet like-minded people who could add value to my travels. For a fun outdoors adventure, or a good chat over a wholesome meal :)
Interessen
I love traveling to offbeat places around India and learning about its people and their culture. Tribal people intrigue me because of their sustainable lifestyle and symbiotic relationship with the forest. I am an amateur naturalist and love to learn about birds, wildlife and spiders! At night, I could spend hours stargazing and figuring out different galaxies and constellations.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
- Cycled + kayaked + hiked from Koh Yao Noi to Koh Nok and back in Thailand
- Spent 3 days with a Tajik family in the Nuratau mountains in Uzbekistan. We didn't speak each other's language but had the best time anyway.
- Drove a tuktuk (rickshaw) across Sri Lanka for 4 weeks by myself and loved every bit of it!
- Spent 2 weeks with the Konyak tribe in Nagaland, India who are known to be the last headhunters in the region.
