ABOUT ME

I am a 27 year old female in Columbus, Ohio. My travels have not taken me very far...yet, but I am planning my first trip overseas from August 14-30. My main interests include music (live shows-especially good indie bands), film, reading, exploring, socializing, and engaging in thoughtful conversations. Dancing, karaoke, and cooking are always fun, and I am a somewhat skilled baker. I have a degree in Social Work, but my passion is Public Health, and I work in immunizations for our state health department.

My frequent travel partner is my boyfriend of three years. He is preparing to take the bar exam to be an attorney. We enjoy finding out what the locals do where we are, and are quite willing to show people around Columbus-a city of which we are both quite fond. Although usually associated with college football, Columbus is now being called the "Indie Art Capital of the World" (okay some PR people dubbed it that to make us more appealing). It's really quite amazing how much this city offers.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in being a beacon of positivity and hope, someone that makes an impact, no matter how small. Life is for laughing and building relationships that last. A healthy sense of adventure and spontaneity will carry a person a long way...especially in travel!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am just gaining some experience in this couchsurfing experiment...but so far it is awesome!

I can share my love of Columbus and show you my favorite places, buy you a scoop of Jeni's ice cream, and cook dinner for you at my apartment! Or, I could give you a crash course in immunology and recommended vaccines! :)

If I visit you I'll probably bake you cupcakes. If you have requests ahead of time let me know. (I'm particularly fond of my red velvet cupcakes)
