ABOUT ME

I am an active, friendly person who loves to do outdoor activities. I have a degree in biology and environmental studies, and am interested in working on northern climate change adaptation. I really enjoy meeting new people and seeing new places.
Currently I am on a road trip through the states with my partner, Rowan. We are exploring new areas and checking out as many places to mountain bike as we can this fall and winter.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Travelling can be a great way to meet new people. While couch surfing I have explored cities and done activities that I would not have thought of myself - it's great to see the things that people love to share about where they live.
I have not had the opportunity to host travellers yet, but I hope that I can do this soon. I love the Yukon and meeting the people who come up there, and am excited to give back to the couchsurfing community by hosting surfers and showing them around the places that I love.

兴趣

I like to stay active, and am happy doing most outdoor activities, but I particularly love riding my mountain bike. Exploring new trails, working on skills and meeting other riders are some of my favourite parts of mountain biking.
I also enjoy cooking and sharing good food!
Happy to chat and meet new people, but also happy to curl up and draw, read, write and take quiet time.

Music: most music depending on my mood or what's going on- I love being introduced to new favourites.
Books: so many books, it's too hard to choose favourites. Currently reading a book given to me by a friend - Monkey Beach by Eden Robinson, it's a very captivating read.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Last year I did a solo cycle touring trip from Skagway to Victoria. I took ferries down the coast of British Columbia, I stopped over on the beautiful Haida Gwaii, and then I cycled down Vancouver Island. People were so kind to me on that trip, and it reminded me that I wanted to get active in couchsurfing again!
