About Me

A traveler by trade,
enjoys being helpful,
is fascinated by the human condition,
sometimes overwhelmed by it

A musician seeking honesty,
seeking skills for the apocalypse,
learning to love from the cats and dogs I meet,
losing track of time

A philosopher who doesn't know the terms,
a learner of language,
a shadow on the fringe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll read through most of your library if you let me crash on your couch long enough. I enjoy dystopian, sci-fi, fantastical, poetry, weird erotica, relevant nonfiction to current interests, authors skipped over by mainstream culture etc.

Usually can't sit through movies, unless it's beautifully animated and/or powerful in scope. Only interested in telenovelas while I learn me some español.

If the urge arises, you can hear my own music with this name on soundcloud.com
I tend to gravitate to similar solo acts musically, but I am delving into the genres I hold dear trying to find the underappreciated and outstanding within those genres. So mostly folk, but also can get into some jazz, some grunge, some pop, some electronic, some international. Trying to decipher subgenres makes me nauseous.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am amazed at most things. You'll get to hear all sorts of stories.
