ABOUT ME

I love nothing better than a poop joke. When I was little I thought I would grow up to be a stegosaurus. Strangely enough, I remained human! I'm really silly. I'm friendly, relaxed, and really like meeting new people. I like stopping to talk to workers in stores, random people on the streets, and chat up people on public transportation. I'm a little eccentric, and love intellectual discussions. I'm really into edible wild plants-some of my favorites are cattail and staghorn sumac. I love animals, so I don't eat them. I love plants, so I do.

I like to think that I've got the essentials covered: education, health, and family. The rest is just a bonus, and I'm lucky to have plenty of bonuses.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I originally joined couchsurfing to let travelers stay at my place for free. As it turns out, surfers are great people, and it's been a ton of fun hosting. And being hosted when I traveled has been just as great. When I surf now, it's to get a feeling for people wherever I travel. Every city has museums; it's the people that make them special.

Interests

I absolutely love dancing, but can be a little shy about it. I also love science and nature. I get really excited when I get to talk to people who also like either of those things. In my spare time I read math textbooks. I also go hiking, and spend lots of time identifying plants and animals when I do.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most kinds of dance music: pop, hip-hop, electronic, swing, elvis, disco, chopin, etc. I really really like disco. It's lonely liking disco.

In addition to the heavy hitters like Shawshank Redemption, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Man on fire, Star Wars, Eternal Sunshine, Goodwill Hunting; I love Real Genius, Kevin Smith movies (Clerks, Mallrats, etc.) and James Bond Movies.

I like reading science textbooks, nature field guides,and sci-fi, Isaac Asimov being my favorite.
