About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ride often, see everything, and only work as hard as necessary

ABOUT ME

I've been in and around the bike industry for a few years now and have a real passion for it. I enjoy working on bikes, especially ones that are well ridden. Tuning up a multi-thousand dollar bike is neat, but I much prefer to take a bike-shaped-object that someone got for cheap and turn it into something enjoyable to ride.

PHILOSOPHY

Be excellent to each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll be adding to myself throughout my travels with everything I encounter. I'm outgoing, reflective, but most of all: nerdy. So if you need a surfer who can fix your wireless network, your bike, or a door that doesn't quite close; I'm your guy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I created this account years ago before a trip to NYC and landed with a friend who happened to be in the area. I'm up in Portland, OR now and could really use some help in helping myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: The Beatles, Tool, Incubus, Daft Punk, and many more.

Movies: Anything that can make me forget about my life and invite me into the story. Most recently, Turbo Kid.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pushed a broken down car off a freeway offramp, with my bike.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I try to make everything I touch at least a little bit better. Sometimes that means just straightening up, sometimes that means a good cleaning, sometimes it's a repair or replacement. I'm super handy and have been building my personal toolbox long enough that I can tackle just about any home, computer, or bike repair.

I will make every effort to affect my hosts' lives or routines as little as possible. I won't leave any messes and I put everything back where I found it when I'm done using it, I find it helps to keep things tidy and reduces the amount of time I spend looking for things.
