Hi!

My name is Axel and I'm a 27-year-old engineering student that loves to meet new people and travel. I have traveled lots by car and motorbike which is how I prefer to travel as I get to encounter so many more characters, but then again, nothing goes against flying long distances and experiencing completely new cultures.

My travel companion and girlfriend Ida is 22 years old, studies veterinary medicine at Edinburgh University and just as me she loves meeting new people, seeing new places and dance all night long. Yoga and horseback riding/horse health would also be hot topics for late evening chats. Even though I pretend I'm the star, she is also the brain behind most of the really awesome vegan cooking that comes out of the kitchen!

In my spare time, I like to kitesurf and take photos. I mostly do B/W analog and develop them myself. I almost forgot that I brew my own beer too.... Would be happy to teach other surfers a little about all of that :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, share my views and interests and have a good time while traveling. This summer we are planning a longer motorcycle trip around Europe and perhaps northern Africa. We want to see new places and meet new people and are planning to couch-surf as much as possible during our trip to do so.
