I’m a 23-year-old language student, always up for new experiences and getting to know new cultures. I live by the principle that the best way to learn a new language is by fully immersing yourself in that country, and I’m lucky to have had that experience in Peru, Scotland, and Belgium, the next country on my list being Russia!

In general I’d say I’m pretty easy-going and always keen on meeting new people and sharing acquired wisdom and/or opinions on Disney movies.

To meet exciting new people, get to know the cities I’m visiting better than I ever could by just staying in a hostel, and, once I have a stable place to call my home, hopefully offer the same thing to others.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Losing my wallet while on a tiny island in Panama, then having to take a thirty-minute motorboat ride to the mainland, traverse the jungle to make it to a dingy Western Union office in the back of a McDonald’s, just as the weather changes from tropical sunshine to thundering rainstorms, and I have to make the trek back to where I was staying in typhoon-esque conditions, clutching to my affairs and the little cash with which I’ll have to make it through my last weeks there in the certainty that the alarmingly unstable motorboat I’m in is going to collapse and that my mortal remains will forever be buried in the depths of the Caribbean Ocean. Did somehow make it back to solid ground though, so all’s well that ends well.
