Overview
About Me
Hello! I am currently living around New York City while attending medical school to become a physician. I've moved around frequently during my childhood (Tennessee, Washington, Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, New York) so travelling and making new friends is nothing strange to me. I love to do day hikes up mountains and camp out overnight, but with medical school and research taking up so much of my time, I've had to scale back on my expeditions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The great thing about Couchsurfing is that you can tailor your experiences depending on who you stay with. I am looking for like-minded individuals with whom to stay. I have stayed at various hostels, and while they offer a certain type of atmosphere (expats, tourists, dormitories), I am looking to a more home-like atmosphere when I travel. Nothing beats being able to call someplace your home, even if it is only for a few days! My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, and being able to make it on a stove rather than eating out for it is something I have come to greatly appreciate.
Let me make one thing clear: your place is YOUR place. I am very appreciative of your generous offer, and I show the same respect in return. Things that I try to live by when I'm travelling: minimal presence, engagement with host, considerate behavior, empathy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Dissected a human body for my anatomy class in medical school and explored every nook and cranny of the cadaver. It is quite the exhilarating and humbling experience, something that is difficult to describe.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking breakfasts, and even doing dishes is a very meditative activity for me (seriously). I bring a "yes!" attitude to my travels, and hopefully inspire you to visit my area as well!
