Hello, everyone! My name is Ayaka Uno. I'm a Japanese 26-year-old woman from Shiga (Close to Kyoto and Osaka) in Japan.
Now, I've lived in Vancouver,Canada for working holiday since April of 2014.

After I graduated from university in 2011, I have worked as a certificated caregiver for seniors for 3 years.(During university,I've also worked as a part-time caregiver for 1 and a half year.)
And then,I came here in Vancouver,Canada for working holiday!
To live abroad was one of my dream since I was a child, and finally it's come true!!

But unfortunately,my life in Vancouver is about to end. So I decided to go on a trip to Eastern Canada(Toronto,Quebec and Montreal) and New York from March 30th before I go back to Japan.
That's why I started to use this website for my first time.

If I express myself with words,I'm earnest,honest,friendly,basically positive but sometimes worry wart,open-minded and active!!
These are my mottoes;●Every experience will be good for myself●Never too late to begin●If you can dream it, you can do it.●Where there's a will,there's a way.

Before I entered junior high, I started to study English.(It sounds like I have had enough time to be able to speak English fluently,but ..haha)I really loved it and I would try to talk to foreign people when I had opportunities.
So I studied English here in Canada as well for 6 months at ESL school.

I also really like to meet new friends!! When I was in Japan, I used to participate in international events and I went to many places in Japan to do outdoor activities with new foreign friends who live in Japan and new Japanese friends.
While I'm in Canada,I also met lots of people and really enjoyed it.
I like to listen to friends,to talk to friends and to hang out with friends!!

I always appreciate people who give me any opportunities to meet and hang out. Exchanging own opinions and culture is really interesting and I believe it'd improve our life.

Additionally, I had a dream since I was a child to help children in developing countries and I tried to collect information to find ways to make my dream come true.But I realized to visit and help them directly is too difficult for me and I was almost ready to give up it. But if I could get any information and find ways,I'd like to try it. So if you know something or you are interested in that kind of things,please let me know!

After I go back to Japan, I will keep studing English and start to lean how to guide foreign people in Kyoto in English as a volunteer as one of my hobbies(but seriously). If you are interested in coming to Japan,I will show you around!!I hope so!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm keen on meeting,listening,talking,sharing our own stories of experience with new friends!! And I like traveling. So I thought if I meet friends during my trip,it would be so nice!!
And I'd like to be a member of couchsurfing users and would like to invite you to Japan!! Afer I go back to Japan,I will learn how to guide around Kyoto in English as a volunteer as one of my hobbies(but seriously),so I hope to make you guys enjoy visiting Japan!

The biggest hassle for me to travel is I have no sense of directions...haha.
I'm ok at the place where I'm familiar with.

I love to live a full life! I have extensive hobbies♪
I'm interested in:
● hanging out friends●meeting friends and new friends● taking pictures(I have a pink single‐lens reflex camera of Pentax with a telephoto lens and a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera of Sony),●visiting cafe●shoppingf●Facebook●going on a trip(I've usually been on a trip using a travel agency but now I'm trying to travel like a back packer!Though it's kind of risky),●many kinds of handicraft(Cross-stitch,Tole painting,Leather Craft,Beading,Resin art,making stuffed animal,flower art ,building miniature houses of movies of Studio Ghibli and so on),●cooking●making sweats

And I love animals!!I had a dog ''West Highland White Terrier''.

In addition, I like singing at karaoke,singing in a choir(I had a great opportunity to sing in a choir for a Christmas concert in Vancouer♪),listening to music,( I played the clarinet and the trombone when I was a student),watching movies,going shopping and so on!!!

Finally,I did Karate and Shorinji Kempo (modern Japanese martial art based on Shaolin kung fu) during high school and university.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

●In July of 2012 I summited Mt.Fuji and saw the sunrise!! It was really hard bat so beautiful!!
●In April of 2014 I came Canada for working holiday and living almost for 1 year!! I experienced a lot of things!
