Originally from New York, I'm now living in Vienna doing my graduate studies, and trying to explore as much as I can along the way. I like to learn languages, local food, outdoor sports, and hikes that view the concept of 'trail' rather loosely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was in high school one of my teachers spent her sabbatical year traveling the world by couchsurfing, and it inspired me to join when I first started solo travel

Interests

I like to spend time in nature and explore new places. Love hiking (and urban hiking), and outdoor sports in all seasons. I'm also a big fan of museums and live music, good food, and interesting conversation with nice people.

I like to cook, and I'm always looking for new recipes to learn and try out, and particularly interested in the regional food wherever I go.

And there's always a good time in trading stories, skills, travel recommendations, etc.

I'm happy to help with cooking, dishes, gardening, and other household needs, stories and language tandem. Or tell you way too much about trees, if you let me :)
