About Me

I am a very social, friendly and a real "political animal" who ignores formalities when it comes to meeting new people and learning new things. I have worked and lived in different parts of the world. Recently, moved to DMV area.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always find it boring when I end up in hotel rooms isolated without having an indigenous connection to where I travel. I assume that many travellers feel the same.

Interests

Soccer, volleyball and chess as well as reading and writing poetry.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Reggie, country, jazz and open to all types of music.
Books: Sold, a Long Way Gone, and Escape.
Movies: Once Upon a Time in the West; and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On several occasions, I have been a co-pilot for MI2 helicopters without ANY training.
Survivor of many deadly situations thanks to the higher/divine power.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a learner and an educator by heart. I enjoy teaching social sciences (human rights, law, economics, ethics, theories of international relations, foreign policy, government and public policy). At the same time, I am an everlasting student and am always interested in learning new legal, economics, and other social sciences theories and concepts. Lately, I have developed a passion for studying various types of empires and regimes. I have been pretty active in contributing to the human rights, economics, legal and political science literatures and presenting new papers and ideas to regional and international conferences. Despite being "political", I don't participate in junk politics.
