About Me

Helloo, I am Ayşe.
Adventurous at heart, grounded at mind.
Over 25 years, I’ve had privilege of constantly losing my track in Istanbul. Even so, I still enjoy discovering with friends.

On travel, I would like to get a glimpse of the local culture, understand how people from different nations think and act. I would love cooking together or trying some restaurants, going to nice places and finally having new friends.
Aside from that, I love dancing, outdoor sports or any activities related like birding, foraging, hiking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting travellers from different cultures and listenimg to their stories to see other aspects of life and have better outlook.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At a time when I could speak only basic English, I met the late humble Irrfan Khan. I met him not as movie star, but as a kind, ordinary guy who helped me fill out my landing card at Heathrow.
I lost my bearing in Snowdonia's fog at night with my friends at christmas. It was mere adventure which I discovered my capabilities and limits.
I travelled to a small village at the foot of Mount Agri for a month and witnessed the resurrection of nature.
When there was Covid restrictions out there, I was with my friends isolated in nature, peacefully ringing birds over 6 months.
