Hey, I'm Ayush, a photojournalist and video journalist based in Kanpur, originally from Rudrapur in the mountains of Uttarakhand.

I travel with a camera and come back with stories. My work has taken me to tribal villages on the Indo-Nepal border, the burning ghats of Varanasi, the Kumbh in Prayagraj — always chasing the life that exists just outside the frame of mainstream news.

When I'm not shooting I'm usually at a chai stall having a conversation that goes nowhere and everywhere at once. I speak Hindi, some English, and fluent chai.

I'm curious about people, slow about judgements, and genuinely interested in how others see the world. If you have a story, I probably want to hear it.

Happy to show you the real Kanpur — not the tourist version, but the lanes, the ghats of the Ganga, the old mill colonies, the food that doesn't have a name on a menu.
