Overview
About Me
I'm a lifelong wanderlust, partly grounded now due to three new global citizens, aged 2, 5, and 7. My husband and I have a shared love for travel and learning about new cultures. As a single person, I have lived all over the east coast of the U.S. and also Taiwan, and as a married person, I've lived in Florida, South Korea, Tennessee, and now Pittsburgh, PA. I'm a predoctoral fellow at the University of Pittsburgh working toward my Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Check out the research project of which I am a part here: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/03/180328182510.htm (the project began at Vanderbilt, but is transitioning to Pitt).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been on Couchsurfing with my hubby since he was my fiancee, but I figured it was time to finally get my own profile. We joined Couchsurfing because we consider ourselves global citizens and we relish opportunities to exchange ideas with people cut from all different kinds of cloth.

Music, Movies, and Books
My youth was steeped in American folk music, so that holds a particular place in my heart. However, I have asked each couchsurfer with whom I have interacted for a recommendation for music from their country, and I am seldom disappointed.
I like documentary movies. My favorite show is Nova.
Asking me to choose favorite books is like asking me to choose a favorite child. But I will say that the book that first made me love to read was Bridge to Terabithia.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking skills - I am vegan and can cook vegan food, but I'll also make omnivores a heck of a meal. My specialties are Korean, Chinese, fusion, American, and baked goods.
