I spent most of my life in the Maldives (Male' city, one of the most densely populated cities in the world. to be exact). I would say I grew up in a very significant period of time in the history of the Maldives, experiencing the rise and fall of a democracy, the battle for climate justice and so on.

Before I turned 18, I moved to India for two years to complete my high school education. I met a lot of new people from all over the world and that's where I found my passion for travelling.

I currently am in the US attending the University of Oklahoma. Haven't had a lot of opportunities to travel in the states yet but I hope this would be a starting point. Cheers!

I've always had a passion for photography. In the back of my head, I know that I need at least five good shots from everywhere I go. I like to focus more on the people rather than the place itself as its the people that brings life to a place more than anything and these people always have an interesting story to tell.

Other interests include writing, poetry and sports. I particularly enjoy watching and playing football.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

My taste in music ranges from old Maldivian music to heavy metal. A drastic progression, I know. Generally, I appreciate all kinds of music-it all depends on my mood and what I'm doing. Favorites include Zero Degree Atoll (pioneers of Maldivian rock), Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, RHCP, and Daft Punk.

Like music, I can appreciate all kinds of movies as long as its not stupid, A big fan of Chris Nolan, Wes Anderson, James Cameron, and Tarantino. Terminator 2 is among the best movies I've ever watched. Star Wars fan. Favorites among recently released movies include Guardians of the Galaxy and Interstellar.

I'm not that big of a bookworm and I hardly take time to read. When I do read, I like to read a lot of non-fiction. A big fan of Alain De Botton and his work.
