About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn new things and have a good time doing it

ABOUT ME

I spend most of my time near or around the west coast of BC riding waves, driving boats, going on various adventures and playing music with awesome people. I live my life mainly outdoors and I try my best to keep things interesting and spontaneous. Always stoked to meet new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Its all one big adventure. Stepping out of your comfort zone shapes the person you become.
"Lately it occurs to me, what a long strange trip its been" - Jerry Garcia

Music, Movies, and Books

I like books with a good picture to information ratio, so generally non-fiction books. Being a drummer/guitar player, and growing up with most of my friends being musicians, I listen to a wide variety of music. Anything from cultural world music to progressive jazz hip hop beats. Mainly ill get stoked on the grateful dead and Little Feat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking a group of kayakers into Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, and picking up two kayakers. On the way down I can see hundreds of spouts on the horizon out in the Hecate Strait. They're too far away to go check them out so I keep cruising. I pick up the 2 kayakers and start heading back when we get to the same spot I could see the whales before. they're a lot closer than before so I head out to see them. we get about 100 meters away and I turn the engine off. next thing I know there's about 15 whales surfacing all around the boat, going right underneath, eating krill like we weren't even there. Still hundreds of spouts all along the horizon and all around us. I tell you whales look quite a bit bigger when they're within 5 feet of your boat.
