I'm a thirty-something PhD student (Anglophone Literature and Cultural Studies) currently based in Johannesburg. I enjoy reading, cooking, and dancing, but must of all, I have a knack for traveling and exploring new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After a brief break, I'm back on Couchsurfing to meet people to chat, hike, do some sightseeing etc. In the past, I've made great experiences on here and found lifelong friends all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite novel is Yewande Omotoso's An Unusual Grief and, my all time favorite, James Baldwin's If Beale Street Could Talk. I'm a huge Spike Lee fan (love, love the She's Gotta Have It series), I comfort watch Jane the Virgin and I have way too many favorite movies to list here (my taste is very eclectic).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Decide about three weeks beforehand that I want to travel to India. It turned out to be the best decision I've made in my life and I didn't regret any second of it.
