About Me

I'm very open-minded, fun, outgoing and always keen to learn something new. In my short life I think I've seen many beautiful places, met a lot of great people who've enriched my life and learned a lot that made me to who I am today.
I've been vegan since 2014 and have never regretted that decision so far. For me, traveling starts in the kitchen and this far, being vegan hasn't compromised this at all.
I'm a student of North American Studies and currently based in Madison, Wisconsin, on a Fulbright scholarship.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely love to travel and to meet people from all walks of life and different cultures - so couchsurfing seemed like the perfect solution to me. For me, it offers the possibility not only to share experiences with people who have similar interests as me, but also to expand my own horizon and keep learning.

Interests

I'm into so many different things, but they mostly involve (vegan) food, literature, traveling and everything that goes along with that. To be a bit more specific:
I love to cook, bake and create my own recipes, reading and writing, art in general, seeing the world, exploring different cultures with all of my senses,... I believe that life is all about learning and this is what I try to do everyday - in one way or another.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all time favorites: If Beale Street Could Talk (James Baldwin) and Youth (J. M. Coetzee) - I study English/American Literature, so there are many books I find very interesting, touching, worth reading,..
Music wise I'm very open-minded (some may say confused, but I prefer the former). I enjoy everything from classic music, over Jazz and Soul to HipHop and Indie.
A movie I very much enjoyed was "Midnight in Paris", but I guess I'll always be in love with "Love and other disasters" and "Dirty Dancing".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Decide about three weeks beforehand that I want to travel to India. It turned out to be the best decision I've made in my life and I didn't regret any second of it.
