About Me

I'm quite long, as people go, a bit too tall for VN! Only just getting a handle on squeezing through doorways. Low-hanging trees were my nemeses for many a year..

Bloody love music of all shapes and sizes, and I have a fair chunk I'm up for sharing with anyone interested.

I was drawing for most of my life, haven't put pencil to paper for a shameful amount of time now, but still have a huge appreciation for art.

I love meditation, yoga, like to run regularly, like to party, though less regularly these days. Also love food, more than can be expressed via keyboard..!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel it's a much more personal and grounded way to get around. From friends' testimonies the community seems to be an awesome one, so I'm looking forward to getting involved and getting to know people.

Interests

I trained to fly small aircraft- would like to pick it back up if I get the money. I like to have a drink, I love travel obviously, meeting local people and exploring local cultures, reading, mountains, forests, beaches, keeping fit, live gigs, big soundsystems.

Music, Movies, and Books

These days I'm listening mainly to jazz, psych rock, hip hop, and jungle, but also really love techno, acid house, soul, blues, afrobeat, dub, folk, funk, to name a few.

Books-wise I'm reading Murakami at the moment, but I'm into absolutely all sorts, and always looking for additions to the reading list!

Movies again hard to pin down, but anything quality, be it British or foreign films, and I do have a soft spot for anime.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A beer, some good company and conversation! I can teach some English to anyone inclined and I also cook a banging curry!
