Overview
About Me
Living in Canada after a decade living in Europe. Although trained as a pharmacist, this does not define me -- what I've experienced defines me. I've moved 41 time zones, and have seen the sun rise in Bali, Berlin, and Burnaby. I've shared meals as simple as rice and vegetables to extravagant banquets, and learned that the most important things to share are laughter and stories.
I'm also an aspiring writer. My blog is at canuckinlederhosen.com
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been fortunate to travel the world with friends I've met along the way. I know the power of experiencing a place with a local. Spiritual experiences from the mundane to the profound happen with a local as a guide. I drank fresh tropical juice from a straw inside a plastic bag in Semarang, and realized the power of frugal innovation. I was at a dive bar in Chicago with $3 drink specials -- but the art on the walls has been appraised for more than 2 million. Traveling with a local on a shoestring budget is a richer experience than the walled off garden that is a 4 star hotel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in Europe for a decade. I've weasled my way to the upper echelons of society in Hamburg, as well as gotten wasted with drag queens in Berlin. I've lived a big and bold life in the tiniest of continents.
Teach, Learn, Share
Always learn. Never stop sharing, including lessons learned.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Jokes, stories, and on the odd occasion, puns. Plus I can cook amazing Chinese and Vietnamese food, and my home in Berlin was always steamy with people over for dinner.
Countries I’ve Lived In
Canada, China, Germany, Viet Nam
