Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have actually had no couchsurfing experience officially but my friends have gone to some pretty wacky places and had brilliant experiences so I thought, I'm a student, I'm stupidly poor so why not!
My one and only time that I did stay over at a stranger's house was in Bordeaux, where me and my hitch-hiking buddies were planning on staying the night outdoors and happen to meet a bunch of young students who kindly offered for us to stay over at theirs, which turned out to be probably the best night of the entire trip! They had a super cool flat and offered us drink and food :) We chilled, smoked, drank and chatted until the early hours of the morning
Interests
I really enjoy traveling, photography, meeting new people, trying out new things, skiing, dancing, watching documentaries, discovering new hobbies is in itself an interest and I'm sure I would have many more if I wasn't as lazy ;)
I think what I enjoy the most is having the insight into someone else's life, someone I would have never met, or someone from a different culture. What people have lived through, or have had to live through.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - well I think I'm one of those annoying people who likes a bit of everything but of the most famous ones that spring to mind
Jimi Hendrix, Amy Winehouse, Led Zeppelin, Beardyman, The Cure, Joy Division, I'm a big lover of 80's pop songs- they always put me in a great mood :), Metallica, Queens of the Stone Age, Kings of Leon, Bob Marley, Cat Stevens, the Beatles, Faith No More, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Terry Reid, Tryo, Thin Lizzy, Ed Solo and Skool of Thought
I used to like quite dark, obscure movies that no one would have heard of such as My name is Dana, As it is in Heaven, White Oleander, but like Comedies like Pineapple Express, Yes Man, Ali G... That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think one of the best experiences of my life was hitch-hiking from Brighton in england to Morocco for charity, I met some truly amazing people on my way, have had great conversations with them and really enjoyed meeting people I'd have never met otherwise. I loved having that little snippet into their life, what they love doing, what their job entails.
The sense of freedom this experience gave me was undeniable and I would definitely do it again if I got the chance.
Most importantly, the fact alone that people were willing to give us, essentially complete strangers, a lift really restored my confidence that there are some truly great people out there and that basic trust between human being does exist :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Don't smoke stranger's weed. You might turn green.
Don't sleep rough in Bordeaux. If one or more people are offering you a place to stay, pick the drunkest ;)
