PHILOSOPHY

My philosophies I have adopted have changed over the years as I have changed and grown, but the most useful philosophy that has assisted my growth has been around present-centered living. I find my most peaceful moments when I am present and living in the moment. It seems like everything constructive has birthed from that place in my life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am setting my intention towards connection, joy, and lots of love. I trust that this anticipated journey will serve me and those that I am in contact with for the greater good. It has been amazing to let go of the past, old ideas, and start with a new wind in my sails. I liken myself to a butterfly; a creature that lives in the moment and knows that transformation is just a blink of the eye away. I feel as if there are no strangers, only friends I have yet to meet!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted more than I have surfed but my couch surfing experience in Mexico was one of the most pivotal times of my life. I learned a lot about how to be a good guest and host from my couchsurfing experiences and most importantly how to trust myself and the world I live in.

Sidhartha by Herman Hess was one of my favorite books. I have to be honest and say that I am not the most avid reader probably due to my short attention span. However, I watch a lot of YouTube videos when I want to learn about something. When I do read, I tend to lean towards non-fiction and subjects of spirituality, psychology, or art.

My favorite travel so far was to the forest of Michoacan, Mexico to see the Monarch Butterflies. Needless to say, it was breathtaking.

I am a teacher at heart and love to share what I have learned so far about art, psychology, and spirituality. Yet for fear of sounding too arrogant, I need to say that I am a human sponge and seek to learn everyday. I look forward to learning from you all.
