I try to be a good person. I enjoy meeting new people, basking in new cultures and trying new foods. I'm almost too laid back for my own good but just going with the flow often pays off when travelling/floating around and being open to so many new experiences. I'm completely contented and don't need much more than the life essentials but some good banter is always appreciated!
Life history: Was a bartender in the UK to support myself through uni, then I graduated and took a job in Japan where I was finally earning enough to save some, I taught English out there for 4 years at which point I didn't want to leave but had more than enough saved for my master's, eased myself back into Western life by living first in the Netherlands to complete a master's in psychology, then finally couldn't run any longer and came back to the UK in 2017. I now have an entry-level job in mental health and am working towards becoming a counsellor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've met a lot of great people through Couchsurfing and it's not always possible to keep in touch as much as I'd like but it definitely brightens the world just knowing that such kind-hearted and selfless people exist out there. The more of you guys I can meet the better. I also want to offer up my space whenever possible. I've hosted in Japan and the Netherlands and probably soon will have hosted in the UK.

Right now I'm listening to Dire Straights but love Regina Spektor, Kendrick Lamar, SOAD, Arcade Fire, The Beatles, Brand New, Chance The Rapper...
Favourite films are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Die Hard. Not necessarily in that order.
Books... I enjoy anything that offers insights into the human psyche. Happiness: The Science Behind Your Smile is one of my favourite books, as is Zen and The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
