ABOUT ME

Midlife crisis is settling in properly...... There must be something more meaningful I can do with my life than climbing the money tree.

While I am enjoying work, life, and wonderful friendships in general, I am also attempting to redefine for myself what it means by success in life.

At some point in my life, I would love to devote my time in really helping people and not merely profit from the trading of goods, services, and skills.

Seems like a lofty dream in this part of the world where achievement and success is defined by the size of your wallet and the price tag of your suit. We'll see.......

PHILOSOPHY

"Philosophy" is a very heavy word. I believe in the fundamental goodness of people in general, so live and let live.

Having compassion is not easy (I am still learning, especially when trying to survive in an ultra-competitive, dog-eat-dog business environment), but the world would certainly be a better place if we are all a bit more compassionate and genuine.

Life is never straight forward and there is no shortcut, but as far as finding and meeting open-minded, good-natured, hospitable, and fun people from around the world is concerned, CS is defintely as close to a shortcut as there can be.

Traveling and meeting people, learning and experiencing other cultures and history, armchair politics, telling tall tales, movie junkie, running away.......

Oh, sports-wise, I've played soccer all my life. I love soccer because for some reason it's a great way to put my mind at rest, as the only thing I would focus on is the game.

Love reading boring stuff like, Time, The Economist. Reading a lot on how tech advancement is affecting life lately. Historical fictions are good when I could sit myself down to read through one once in a blue moon.

Akira Kurosawa's movies are pure classics.

Music: Jazz, went through school with 80's UK's new romantic/ new wave stuff and U2 (still love it), also Japanese soft rock and electronic music...
