Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet local people and make international friends, have good company, and live the experience!

I don't like the typical 4 and 5 stars accommodation not because they are expensive, but they feel like prison as you don't get to mix up with locals and residents on a friend type level, couch surfing helps you connect with people all around the world and share experiences and knowledge - it's more than just a backpackers on budget platform, it's a global social network.

Since I am solo traveling, I’m here as a priority to meet someone local or resident or traveler to spend some of my time with - doesn’t necessary have to be someone to host me 🤷🏻‍♂️ as long as we are like minded

IMPORTANT FOR FUTURE HOSTS:

1. For me to connect with the host I prefer to do that while I explore the city or travel around, not meaning I stay in their space and chit chat all day 😅 sorry had experiences where hosts were expecting this and would not be happy when I’m out all day

2. I DONT COOK! Fact is I don’t know how to cook, I don’t travel to eat food, and I don’t carry recipes to share 😩🤦🏻 I eat to survive only 😂 If you wish to cook a homemade meal I don’t mind, I’ll do the dishes after 😝

3. I prefer outdoors over indoors, I understand it’s not a hotel, but sorry I’m visiting to explore the city not the couch 😭 if my host likes to join me, take me out to show me around that would be cool and a good way to connect and socialize and make use of the platform, if the host is busy with work or other matters that’s also cool, but don’t expect or force me to be back home at a specific time to chat 😭
