I am Russian living in Turku for nearly 2 years now. I studied in several countries just for the fun of it after escaping an office job, and my background hobby is collecting foreign languages I started to learn but didn't get past the "fluent pidgeon Dutch" stage because I had to leave the country.
Now trying my best with Finnish... Ah, I wish the Finns were not so absolutely GREAT in English!

I love meeting new people and making friends . (TM). I wonder how many times Couchsurfers have heard this phrase, but it doesn't make it any less true. My friends are all scattered around in the world and the names of other countries warm my heart because apart from sights and places there is someone there that I know and like. I would like to make Turku a place to return to on someone else's map.

I am obviously interested in all things tech, business- and clients-related due to my work. But what would make me most happy is to talk about favorite music (classical, piano, salsa and cuban, tango, old style swing, soul, hey maybe even Leonard Cohen or Simon and Garfunkel!), books, characters, some big-world topics, like travelling and getting adjusted to new countries. I value personal experiences more than anything.
