Overview
About Me
I’m Bahador, originally from Iran and currently living in Slovenia, where I’m doing my PhD in computational catalysis. My research focuses on microkinetic modeling, DFT simulations, and methane-to-methanol conversion using metal-organic frameworks( Nobel Prize wait me!). I enjoy diving deep into scientific problems, but I balance it with travel, meeting new people, and learning from different cultures.
I’m friendly, easygoing, respectful, and open-minded. I appreciate good conversations, especially about science, culture, history, or just life in general. I value honesty and kindness, and I enjoy connecting with people who are curious about the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy connecting with people and experiencing places through locals rather than just being a tourist. Couchsurfing feels like the right mix of cultural exchange, openness, and real human connection.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can share stories about research, living abroad, Iranian culture, and academic life. I’m also happy to help guests or hosts with anything related to science, studying in Europe, or navigating life as an international student.
Teach:
I can explain topics related to catalysis, DFT, microkinetic modeling, and academic writing. If someone is curious about life as an international student or wants advice on studying/researching abroad, I’m always happy to help.
Learn:
I love learning about local cultures, foods, languages, and people’s personal stories. Everyone has something interesting to teach.
Share:
I can share Iranian culture, stories from my research journey, and experiences from living in different countries. I’m also always up for deep conversations, cooking simple dishes, or exploring the city together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Respect, cleanliness, calm company, and an easygoing attitude. I’m independent but always happy to connect and spend time with my host. I bring positivity, curiosity, and genuine appreciation for hospitality. I value people’s space and routines and try to make hosting as smooth as possible.
