Originally I am from Northern Maine, but have spent the better part of the last three years traveling the USA. I spent a summer working at a ranch in Yellowstone National Park and it was just as amazing as it sounds! After that I hit the road for about 2 months and found myself settling in Chattanooga, Tennessee for the past year and a half! They say variety is the spice of life I think? Well, I decided I needed variety in my life again, so I quit all my jobs and sold most of my stuff and hit the road once more with my dog as the best company, this time, to the southwest for two months! Now I find myself back home in Northern Maine through the winter, taking mini adventures around here waiting for springtime for my next big adventure 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As an avid traveler myself, I enjoy meeting other travelers and hearing their stories! Sharing pictures and experiences with others is what I love to do. When I get a place of my own again, I'd love to be an active hostess in whatever city I land in!

Interests

Love hiking and camping and anything outdoors, dream of one day thru hiking the AT. I'm always up for an adventure and I'll try just about anything once. I find fun in everything I do! I also enjoy reading and learning anything that I can. I love talking to new people from all over which is why most of my jobs have been working in touristy places.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music!! A little bit of everything is the best.
My favorite kind of book are the ones people give you and say "here, you HAVE to read this!" But I also love adventure and travel books, my most recent favorite being Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer about his Everest ascent and being caught in a freak storm on the mountain

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my jobs in Tennessee was to take care of penguins at the Aquarium so that was fun!

I'd be more than happy to share any knowledge I can to anyone!
I love to learn and gain new experiences and skills, so I'm definitely up to learn something new. I find myself interested by many different things so I'll try just about hobby/skill/etc once! I'm also trying to learn Spanish right now, so if you know the language and can help me learn, I'd be so excited!!
Couchsurfers are cool because generally they come about during a trip, so sharing stories is definitely one of the things I enjoy!
