Japan is boring. Japanese society is boring and it requires strict conformity. As a result anyone who doesn't conform ends up going quite wildly astray. This is why Japanese subcultures are so unbelievebly awesome. It is in these fringes of Japanese society that I live. It is in these fringes that the best of Japan can be found. Real Japan. The stuff that "Cool Japan" and tourist books would never feature.
