About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find an excellent living situation in Bellingham, WA and get registered for Winter classes at WWU.

ABOUT ME

Today I am in love with the Pacific Northwest. Raised in Boise, Idaho, I have been spending progressively more time up here by the ocean and I'm finally getting a place in Bellingham. I am full of color and spirit. I love to learn, after a three year break I am returning to University. I love to bake, garden, create, and play music. I want to get to know you better.

PHILOSOPHY

These days my philosophy is roll with the punches, smile and play as much music as possible. Each day brings something new.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The people who I have met through couchsurfing have never failed to broaden my horizons. I am so glad that we are able to help each other out so much like a big big family. My most exotic couchsurfing experience was a three night stay on a shady coffee plantation in southern India.

Interests

Gourmet Culinary Adventures, organic gardening, music festivals, playing the guitar, harmonica and didgeridoo , bike riding, camping and backpacking, hiking and anything outdoors, finding out whats really good in life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey, The Life of Pi, The Fifth Sacred Thing, The Vision by Tom Brown Jr., all the works of Carlos Castenada and here's a weird one: The Encyclopedia of Country Living by Paula Emery

Movies: The Lion King, Fight Club, The Motorcycle Diaries, Planet Earth, Baraka
Music- The Flaming Lips, MGMT, Iron and Wine, Ravi Shankar, Buena Vista Social Club, Mumford and Sons, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, The beatles, Devotchka, Radiohead!, Belle and Sebastian, Silvio Rodriguez, Ray Charles and many many more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once cooked a loaf of sourdough in a dutch oven in four feet of snow. I saw a branch that grew out of a tree and then right back into it. I saw a great blue heron flying across a sliver of rainbow above the southern waterfront.

Teach, Learn, Share

I always want to play music with new people so we can learn from each other and have a good time. I can teach you how to make excellent wholegrain (or not) breads from scratch. I love storytelling, whether I be talking or listening it is always a thrill.
