Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Me and my friend Sudeep (https://www.couchsurfing.org/people/sudeep-acharjee/) have been hosting surfers for a while now. I have met some wonderful people along the way and shared a lot of experiences and stories.
Hopefully we have given our surfing friends a truly 'Mysore' experience which they would remember for a long time to come.

Sudeep has moved out of Mysore and i would continue to host surfers at my place

Theater buff - Mysore has a wonderful theater heritage.

Movies - Indian arthouse movies, great to know about world movies, Political documentaries, Political Satire

Music - Metal to Indian classical and everything in between, currently listening to a lot of Jazz and world music.

Authors - Arundhati Roy, Nehru, Sarnath Banerjee, R.S.Sharma, Romila Thapar, Vijay Prashad, Tariq Ali, Noam Chomsky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I thing the best sights are when you least expect it.

The last curve upto the Chamundi hills when you unexpectedly and suddenly see the city lights is one such sight.

Another jaw dropping sight was in Switzerland where i dozed off in a train, only to wake up and look out of the window and see the mighty alps panning the entire horizon.

Another crazy experience was when i got driven by a champion rally racer in an open top 4 wheel drive on a half built mountain road in Mangalore.
