ABOUT ME

I live in a big old house that fills up when the kids are home from uni but is often empty!! I love to get away when I can and have most recently returned from Israel with a brief stop over in Hong Kong.
I work long hours and like to relax at home when I have a quiet moment.
Meeting new people from around the world is almost as good as going there.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not able to travel the world very much myself because of work commitments so hosting couch surfers is a way of bringing the world to me. I am very proud of my beautiful exciting city - come and see it for yourself!!

most recent books I have read are The Dove keepers by Alice Hoffman- about Masada - excellent reading.
I also liked The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls
The most recent movie I saw was The cloud Atlas - intriguing and of course I am wrapped up in Game of Thrones like everybody else!
Recently was introduced to The Drive By Truckers.. great sounds!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I swam with a giant ray in the warm waters off Ambergris Cay in Belize, gliding over the jagged colourful coral reef before it dropped away into the depths of the ocean. The ray was entirely unperturbed by having a swimsuit clad tourist clutching its "wings" for a free ride
