ABOUT ME

I work in a library and read a lot. I want some adventures of my own and not just those I read on pages! I'm very talkative sometimes and subdued at others. Not the best at meeting new people, but mainly because I haven't practiced it much and not because I dislike people. My feathers don't ruffle easily and I don't think I have ruffled those of others.

PHILOSOPHY

Be a good person. Karma can work in a very practical way if you consider the way people react to the things you do.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have just joined and, though my current couch is small, I want to help people travel and hear interesting stories and explore a bit.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've heard nothing but good things about couchsurfing from a number of friends and have decided to try it out myself. I've slept on all sorts of couches and floors as well as had a great number of people return the favor, but so far they have all been people I've met in person or known for a moment or through a friend. It's time to expand the search!

Interests

I like books, balloon animals, webcomics, and drawing. Occasionally I play chess...

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not a very musical person; been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately... I like contemporary American fiction and tend to read it the most. I'm lucky to have a number of friends with good book taste and am happy to have a full bookshelf (except when it's time to move). To be more specific I like Charlie Huston, Jonathan Lethem, and Cormac McCarthy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lot of pressure on this one... I climbed half dome in Yosemite when I was a kid... I've driven up and down CA more times than I can remember.

I can teach you how to twist balloon animals. I would like to learn more about drawing and things that are fun.
