Hi! Im Balte. I quit my studies archaeology in Brussels to pursue my passion in circus. I’m doing a preperatory year in circus arts right now in Paris.

Activities I like are reading, going to parks, spending days and days in museums, walking around in bookstores, dancing to music while cooking in the kitchen, looking around in organic stores, journaling, drawing, tattooing myself and meditating.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to hear stories from people that are travelling the world, their passions, adventures but also how they see their future plans.

For me it’s sometimes very easy to go pretty deep into a connection with a stranger and talk about all parts of life, fears and death, ofcourse with a good cup of coffee;)

3 years ago I hosted pretty actively in Brussels (more than 2x a month). But to study circus arts I spend one year at my parents house and the year after in a tiny mountain village in Switzerland.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spend 1 year of hosting people in my dorm when I studied in Brussels, it was so amazing to have people from all over the world and making memories with them. I feel so much gratefulness towards this period of my life

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach handstand, juggling and how to ride a unicycle, also the other basic circus skills. I love to share a vegan meal with my guests. I also love to introduce my circus friends to my guests, they are all open minded and fun people!
