I'm a down to earth person who likes to get out and about in my local area and overseas. My husband and I have vowed to go overseas every year of our marriage (Covid excluded!).

I work for an American program with students at the University of Melbourne.

We do not host too often due to space issues, but I do on occasion go to my parents house in the hills and that is a good opportunity to show visitors another part of Victoria.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been a local member for HC a similar club with similar values for seven years. I try to bring my expereince with hosting and giving local advice to my expereince in CS. I have travelled around the globe and have been very lucky to have been hosted by beautiful people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As mentioned it was with HC but I have had some great times when hosting. I have learnt to play a flute whistle, giggled into the early morning, had fantastic road trips basically had a ball with visitors from Germany, Israel, USA, Mexico, Australia, Uk, Belgium, France & Denmark

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking through Peetra Jordan is burned into my brain. I will never forget crying when I took in my first view of the Grand Canyon, Floating in the canals in Italy, Speed Boating in New Zealand. Too many to list.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a guest I feel it is important to be clear about your legnth of stay from the start and stick to it. It makes life easier for hosts and creates a better feeling of trust.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Generally it is three of us - my husband Andy and our 9 year old son Cai. Our son has been traveling since birth and is polite, introverted, clean and very respectful of new spaces. We can all fit in one double bed or on floor mattresses etc.
