it's traveling season! taking and teaching classes, selling my wares at gallery hops and craft shows. My bike and I are ready to go.

ABOUT ME

'Tude for days, I've been told.

I have a bike and a boyfriend, a studio and a smoothie addiction. I like the city and the way-out west, and will hike miles to find a good swimming hole.

I like wine and whiskey, coffee and tea, Smoked salmon and good sushi. I would be vegetarian if not for carbonara, which I relegate to monthly dinners in which I consume far more than the recommended daily allowance of bacon.

I will let you go in front of me in line if you have a small child or look like perhaps you really need to pee, I will help you out with the automated postal machine, I will pet your dog and smile at your kid. I probably already like you, even if we haven't met.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy? Dang. Be nice. There. Bottom line. Not hard. I'm hitting 'tab' now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm brand-spanking-new to couchsurfing, having been encouraged to do so by my boyfriend when I had to pass up a fun trip due to lack of funds for hotel costs. I'm excited about the opportunity to meet new people, see new cities, and be able to travel more. This season (summer to early fall) is my traveling season for work, and once that's finished, I hope to offer up my couch for fellow surfers.

Interests

Biking, animals. biking around and not into animals (remind me to tell you the bird story). Flowers, family, food. Making lovely and sometimes even functional things from metal and other materials (hobby turned career = awesome). Swearing I'll clean my studio. Soup Sundays.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak fluent takeout and make a mean bean soup. I can teach you how to solder something and build a bunny habitat, saw metal sheet and make a mobile from steel and found parts. I'm a working artist and I work alone, which means if you ask me about what I do you'll never get me to shut up.
