About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm considerate and love to be around people. I can be kind of quiet at first bit not at all after you get to know me. I have a great sense of humor and just like to have a great time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm not traveling much. I live in a rural village 15 km south of Ouahigouya called Oula. The people are very welcoming and if you want and authentic off-the-beaten path trip this would be a great place to come explore.

Interests

Well let's see I used to be a swimmer and a rower. I love all kinds of sports and being active. I love to travel and get to know new people. I love music and art. If I'm making the art I like very tangible forgiving mediums that I can go back and fix easily (ceramics, fibers, scrapbooking, found art, etc). I love to go on hikes or long walks and exploring new places. I also love to read and cook (not at the same time, this is just stream of consciousness). I love to garden and mostly just be outside.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think running on the beach in Ghana in the morning with all the fog coming off the ocean and the sun coming up through it was one of the most amazing moments I've had recently. It was very peaceful and awe-inspiring.

Going to Ecuador in college was full of amazing moments. I can't really pick between hiking volcanos, riding on chivas around the city at night, visiting my host family's granja, ziplining through cloud forests, swimming in the amazon, looking at the most amazing stars at night in the amazon, hiking over hardened lava in the galapagos, hiking around all the waterfalls in Banos, or just spending time with my host family and learning how to cook local cuisine. It was an amazing 5 months.
