About Me

In addition to being well traveled and living in a wide range of places in the US, I love being exposed to new people in new places. I'm very outgoing and friendly and I get along with a lot of different people and crowds. I'm very into health and wellness, hiking, and yoga, among other things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, I am so used to staying with friends or friends-of-friends that it becomes so weird for me to stay in a hotel or hostel. I much prefer being part of a community and meeting new people to staying in such an impersonal place.

Interests

I love to cook, eat great food, drink tea, and good wine or beer. For exercise, I like to run, hike, boxing, and practice yoga. I love listening to music and learning about how to keep my body healthy. I blog for a couple of socially responsible companies, writing recipes and learning about nutrition. I've worked in many different fields such as law, hospitality, education, holistic health, and more. I was born on an island, so I enjoy anything that has to do with the water like swimming, chilling at the beach, cruising on a boat, SCUBA diving, etc. I dabble in photography, art, and playing my ukulele when I feel inspired.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning how to surf in Ecuador and going SCUBA diving every week when living in the Caribbean and the Galapagos.

Getting altitude sickness after hiking for four days up to 3900 metres in Ecuador.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My cooking skills! No, seriously. I've made some incredible things in my lifetime and I am a master of taking random items and making a comprehensive dish. I enjoy making as much as I can from scratch and eating as healthy as possible, but I'm also not opposed to eating a bowl of fries (chips) and calling it dinner.

Cleaning and organization, health and wellness, naturalistic life hacks (did you know vinegar, water, and lemon is an effective cleaner for most surfaces in your house and that baking soda can be used for scouring?), yoga, laughter, and stories.
