About Me

ABOUT ME

Hm, what to say? I live in Linz, Oberösterreich, since October 2013 and I'm currently working as a bookseller at Thalia, which is one of the most known bookstores in german speaking area.
I really love reading (what a surprise with my profession) and on vacations i often read a book a day :D
What else... I always try to keep myself open minded and free from predjudices, but who don't? ;-)
Beside, there is nothing special I could tell you.. I have no pets, no children, no obsessions and even not a little psychologic disease I could write about.. damn it :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haha, I have definitly no experience with couchsurfing... I'm a absolut beginner of all this stuff, and i hope you all don't mind :)

Interests

As a surprise, i love reading (did you read the "About me..."?), but i also love to do sport, especially hiking in summer and snowboarding in winter. Since last year I also do Krav Maga, which is the israeli self defense systems. Fortunately it turned out not as half als dangerous as it sounds link. I also try to force myself to go running, but i really hate cardio :P
Of course I love to meet new people and meet all the friends I have. I'm easily in flame for a party and always the last one going home :)

Music, Movies, and Books

What a great place to present my favourite books :) hihi

First of all, there is not the ONE favourite book i have. Mostly i like the book best, i'm currently reading. But there are some outstanding books i can't help to name:
Genre Fantasy: The kingkiller chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, Lord of the Rings and Inkheart by Cornelia Funke (I know that is a book for young people, but I loved it for the last ten years therefore, i must name it)
Genre Crime: "Der Schwarm" by Frank Schätzing, all Wallander-novels by Henning Mankell and "Erbarmen" by Jussi Adler-Olsen
Novels (hard to say, but i try): The fault in our stars by John Green, for the heartbreaking and at the same time heartwarming story of the life of Hazel Grace, The yellow birds by Kevin Powers, for his touching description of mentally burden he carried for going to war AND much more, i really can't name here!
I wouldn't describe myself as a cineast because I mostly go the the cinema for entertainment (and I'm easily entertained ;-) ), so I like the Marvel movies and all kind of action movies, as long as they are not too dumb. I also like kind of funny stuff, so the perfect mix for me is a funny action movie. I don't like romantic stuff.
