About Me
ABOUT ME
i am a disaster housing inspector, but I do lots of different jobs when I'm not at a disaster. I am currently doing merchandising throughout the northwest. I've given speeches and participated in workplace violence conferences for the United States Department of Labor. I helped found the International Taxi Workers Alliance a few years ago and I'm somewhat of an expert on the taxi industry, having studied it for many years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The day Hurricane Ike hit, I was sent to Houston to inspect houses. Another inspector I knew was a member of couchsurfing.org and found us a wonderful home to stay in. I was only there a few days before getting sent to Galveston, but the other three inspectors stayed for a week. Our host was amazing!
Interests
the taxi industry, labor laws, disaster recovery, rights and protections for the truly disabled. My son has a severe seizure disorder and my 8 year old granddaughter has down syndrome. And fishing. I love to fish!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove a cab, nights, for 3+ years. Most interesting and fun job I've ever had. I have some great taxi stories!
