By being myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never been surfing so far. But on the pilgrims way there's a community of locals which offer their couch to pilgrims. Normally you arrive the evenings and leave in the morning. And you pay whatever you can. It's always a surprise who you will sleep at and whoever else is gonna be there. Once I got a piano lesson after dinner. One other time I slept in an old castle. One time there was a family-pool-party and we jumped in with our clothes.. Always something. respectful. and happy.

Iceland: When you saw northern lights like a arc from one horizon to the other and directly above you.. Sandstorms down in the bimsstone/lava desert from the top of a volcanic crater lake in which you swum while there was snow next to you.. When you meet strangers who share during their whole holiday the car with you, take you and let you be part of the family.. When you feel the sun in your face while the wind makes waterfalls streaming upwards... life's unbelieveable.
