ABOUT ME

Lived in Saudi Arabia 2005 - 2008, Singapore 2008 - 2010, and Jakarta 2010 - 2013, went back home to do a Master's, and currently finishing up a 6-month stint in Singapore. Moved home in 2016 to Toronto, and then finally...my hometown of Montreal where I've been since 2019.

I taught music at some great international schools and learned a lot while living overseas. Had wonderful experiences that will always stay with me. But strangely enough I was one of those expats that really warmed to repatriation and coming home. Still love to travel, but also really love that I'll Canada home once again.

I've hosted many people overseas and will gladly host again once I'm settled in Toronto

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a bunch. Only surfed 3 times, and met some cool people in countries for drinks.

兴趣

Yoga, hockey, biking, roller blading on Sunday's when for a brief 5 hours...outdoors people rule Jakarta! Jazz (finding any jam sessions I can get in on),...and travel of course :)

The Bourne Identity, Supremacy, ultimatum.I'm a huge jazz nut...but also love and appreciate music from all over, as long as it's good. I've recently really gotten into music from Ghana. The rhythms are infectious. Check out the link above in my 'personal description'

Teaching for me is all visual and kinesthetic. I've got tons teach and learn and feel that's the best way.

It's all about great conversation and sharing stories. Often times all we want as travellers is to have someone there as a sounding board to talk about the experiences we've had interacting with different folks around the world.

I'm also got a nose for great coffee and can definitely give great advice on where to go. (Picked that up from being Colombia for 5 months)
