ABOUT ME

I'm a dude who is at the next stage of his life. I'm picking up and leaving my home state of Arkansas in the very, very near future to move to Portland, and with it comes a lot of changes! I'm super excited for anything that comes next and right now that means traveling. I have a bachelor's degree in political science, which is pretty worthless but it does mean I can talk politics with a mostly objective, middle of the road attitude, if talking politics is your kind of thing. Other than that, I really enjoy craft beers, making new friends, and finding where stuff is happening and life is being lived.

Interesses

Like I said above, politics is a topic I like to talk about, but only with people who care to talk it. I will never talk about it unless it's a conversation someone else wants to have. I like geeky things, such as tech or monster movies. Love listening to music and I'm always doing it. I enjoy reading a bunch too and if I can find the time I try to be outside hiking or swimming.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

It's a loaded question to ask me what my favorite kind of music is, but generally I enjoy music like radiohead, sonic youth, velvet underground, 13th floor elevators, thee oh sees. Stuff that kicks.

I don't watch a lot of movies these days but I like my movies to be fairly thoughtful, and generally entertaining. Directors like Kubrick, Paul Thomas Anderson, Goddard really get my goat.

Lately I've been really into reading, and non-fiction is where it's at. I just finished a book on Theodore Roosevelt that was incredibly fascinating. I really enjoy sci-fi as well. Read Neuromancer not too long ago and really need more like that.
