Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After much travel in my life I have found meeting people and being in the world much more gratifying than the isolating experience of hotels and commercial institutions. On our farm we host volunteers from all over the world , and have a lot of fun doing it .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are many . But delivering my son Frey at home without a even a midwife ( or electricity or running water ) in the depths of a Yukon winter tops the list . I have never felt so grounded or present .

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share a jack of all trades experience on alternative living , and thinking outside the box . Much self education and experience in organic agriculture from soil dynamics and composting to using the foods generated from wild crafting to animal husbandry. I am always eager to learn more on these subjects and humanity in general .

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a passable and creative cook . Am handy in most areas of construction . Easy to get along with . Some people enjoy my off beat humour . And of course growing harvesting and processing food - herbs , vegetables and animals.
