About Me

I always feel our interests better explains who we are at any given moment in time, so see below.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love hostels, but they are not always available in the little nooks and crannies of this world. Hotels are boring. It's a great way to meet people, exchange ideas, and to learn about others.

Interests

Food is my passion, cooking is my profession. Tennis is my favorite. Walking in nature alone and singing. Music...Joni Mitchell, Tricky, Dylan, Rickie lee Jones, Tanita Tikaram, Bjork, Brian Eno, Enya. Henry Miller is my favorite writer. Romance languages, I like them all equally at this point. Orlando, Kieslowski's Red, White, Blue trilogy, Like Water For Chocolate, Groundhog Day....and Office Space.lol.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed 190 miles on a cheap half-broken bike thru the Arizona desert in 115 degree heat, almost non-stop, in 2 and a half days, when I was in tip-top shape. Uh, that was a while ago. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

teach, learn, share languages and food.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If someone opens their homes to you free of charge, if you have the resources, it's nice to give something nice in return! For me, it's going to market and coming back and making a lovely meal for them.

Countries I’ve Visited

Colombia, England, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In

Israel, Mexico, United States
