Hi there! I’m Başak, a friendly and curious traveler from Istanbul. I love meeting people from different cultures and sharing stories over films and books.

I’m a chemist and also creative writer who believes that every encounter adds something new to our stories. When I’m not writing, I enjoy hiking, spending time with my daughter and hosting travelers through Couchsurfing.

I live with my 9-year-old daughter, who’s full of curiosity and laughter. We’ve learned so much by opening our home to guests and now we’d love to keep exploring the world together — one story, one friendship at a time.
